Payment Options

Here you can choose to pursue therapeutic dialogue with email, livechat, telecounseling or webcam counseling.

1) The Initial Email package, which consists of your intake form information, the counselors reply, your reply to that and then the counselors second response, is a highly recommended approach to your initial online counseling experience.

2) The Live Chat drop down menu offers 2 different payments option: 30 minutes and 60 minutes  @ $1.50/minute ($45 and $90, respectively). Live chat can be conducted through one of several options made available when scheduling the appointment following payment.

3) Telecounseling is available in two platforms: 1) computer based  which requires Skype or Yahoo Messenger on your computer (along with a microphone and speakers) or  2) a toll free telephone number you would call and reference a specific extension number. With this latter platform, you will be prompted to sign in, or register, with Ether.com, where you would input your credit card information prior being connected to the counselor. The rate for either telephone platforms is $1.50/minute. The Skype/Yahoo option offers two different payment options, 30 minutes or 60 minutes ($45 or $90, respectively).

4) The Webcam counseling drop down menu offers two options in 30 minute increments @ $2.00/minute( $60 for half an hour and $120 for one full hour).  You must have Skype or Yahoo Messenger on your computer (along with a microphone and speakers).

All payments, (except for  telecounseling via telephone which are made with your credit card at Ether.com when you connect),  are made via Paypal. Paypal is a secure, encrypted online service which allows anybody to send or receive credit card payments to/from anyone with an email account. From the drop down menus below, in the category of your choice, choose the service you desire and click the pay now button. You will then be taken to the Paypal sign in page. If you already have an account at Paypal, you can simply log in. If you do not have a Paypal account, you can create a free account or, you will note on the left side of the page an option to continue without an account.

Following your Paypal payment for all but the Initial Email, you will be taken to the Open Mind Counseling home page. If you have paid for follow-up emails, you can then send the email. If you have paid for livechat, telecounseling or webcam counseling, contact Open Mind Counseling via email to arrange for a scheduled appointment. Telecounseling via telephone(i.e., the Ether platform) is paid at the time of the telephone call. If you have paid for the Initial Email, you will be directed to the Intake Form. Fill out the Intake Form and submit. The counselor will respond. (Note: if for any reason you are not taken immediately to the Intake Form following Initial Email payment, please contact Open Mind Counseling.)

5) Another option for payments is to go directly to Paypal (paypal.com) and make a payment to Open Mind Counseling (counselor@openmindcounseling.com). This works best if you would like a combination of services; for example, one follow-up email session and one 45 minute telecounseling session via Skype. You are welcome to contact Open Mind Counseling to discuss a combination of services and related fees. Package plans are available as are sliding fee scales for those under financial hardship.
